Tournament Overview

Introducing Stack’d – the ultimate tournament for competitors of the Side Out Series. In this unique event, teams have the freedom to choose their team size and compete within the same competition — whether it’s a full squad of six or a smaller, more confident lineup. Across two action-packed days, teams will battle for glory, with prizes including both cash and gifts.

Tournament Format & Divisions

​

Competitions will be contested in the following categories:

Men’s: Social & Competitive

Ladies’: Social & Competitive

Mixed: Social & Competitive

Note:

1. Only Competitive divisions are eligible for cash prizes.

2. Competitions and divisions are dependent on the number of team nominations received. Divisions may not proceed if there are insufficient nominations.

3. Players are permitted to nominate in 2 seperate competitions,

but NOT 2 divisions within the same competition.

(i.e. Men's - Competitive & Mixed - Competitive, but NOT Men's - Competitive and Men's - Social)

Competitive: $80 per player

Social: $60 per player

All payments must be made as a single team payment at the time of nomination.

Team Composition Requirements

​

- Teams must consist of 2–6 players.

- Mixed teams must maintain an equal balance of male and female players.

- For teams with an odd number of players, the additional player may be either male or female.

Example: A 5-player team may be 3 male / 2 female or 3 female / 2 male.

IMPORTANT: Once the competition has commenced, team lists are final. You are not permitted to add players to your team once your first game has been played. Changes to team members will only be permitted in the case of a medical reason.

 

Tournament Schedule

​

Day 1 (Saturday): Preliminary rounds and opening matches.

Day 2 (Sunday): Remaining matches, concluding with the double elimination finals (finals for qualifying teams only)

 

Tournament Rules & Provisions

​

Finals Format: Finals will be conducted under a double elimination system on Sunday for qualifying teams.

Competition Rules: All matches will be played under Side Out Series rules.

Special Provision for 2-Player Teams:

If a team competes with only 2 players, 2-aside rules will apply.

- If a 2-player team faces a team of 3 or more players, the 2-aside rules will not apply to the 2-player team. i.e. on an attacking shot the 2-player team is permitted to hit the ball and contact 2 perimeter nets whereas the opposing team must adhere to the 2 aside rule and not contact 2 perimeter nets on an attacking shot.

Team Eligibility: Teams must consist solely of players who have competed in the 2025 Side Out Series. No exceptions apply.

Timeouts:

• Only teams with 2 or 3 players may call a timeout, and only when competing against a team with more players.

• One timeout is permitted per set, provided it is taken before the 2-minute warning bell.

• Each timeout has a maximum duration of 30 seconds.
