2026 players only
Every nominated player must have competed in the 2026 Side Out Series. No exceptions apply.
For smaller teams
- Only teams of two or three may call a timeout, and only against a team with more players.
- One timeout per set, taken before the two-minute warning bell.
- Maximum duration: 30 seconds.
Two-player teams
Two-aside rules apply when a team competes with only two players. When that team faces three or more players, the two-player team is exempt from the usual two-aside attacking restriction: it may make an attacking shot that contacts two perimeter nets, while the opposing larger team may not.
